Please join us as we welcome Yolanda Androzzo, Coalition and Programming Director for One Aim Illinois, to our July 13 Zoom event, from 7 to 8 p.m., sponsored by Illinois NOW and hosted by North & NW Suburban Chicago NOW. Ms. Androzzo will be joined by Daniel Schober, Director of the Chicago Gun Violence Research Collaborative (CGVRC) and Diane Latiker, Founder of Kids Off The Block (KOB). They will discuss their partnership to understand and address youth concerns related to gun violence in the Roseland neighborhood.
As stated on One Aim’s website: “While many may think of gun violence as an urban issue that only affects the Chicago area, communities across the state are impacted by this public health crisis. Gun violence is a complex issue that includes gun homicides, suicides, accidental shootings, and non-fatal injury. Illinois has the 9th highest rate of gun homicides in the country, and of all homicides in Illinois, 80% involve a gun.”
