For 56 million women between the two coasts, the stakes for their future access to legal abortion have never been higher. That is why Personal PAC’s work right now, today, has never been of greater importance.
On Tuesday, October 11th, Personal PAC will host its 29th Annual Awards Luncheon with Michele Bratcher Goodwin, a law professor, advocate, and author of Policing the Womb: Invisible Women and the Criminalization of Motherhood joining as our Keynote Speaker. This year’s Luncheon will be held in a hybrid format (COVID permitting), allowing supporters to attend the event either in-person or virtually. Stay tuned for additional guest speakers and honorees, and get your copy of the book today at either of Chicago’s two feminist bookstores — Women and Children First, or Semicolon Chicago.
With the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the most consequential Illinois election in 50 years around the corner, we have never needed your help more in promoting this year’s Luncheon as a member of the event’s Benefit Committee.
The 2022 election will determine the fate of legal abortion in the post-Roe era through 2033. The only way to protect reproductive rights in Illinois is to elect pro-choice candidates and then hold them accountable. Personal PAC is the only organization whose sole mission is to do just that.
Thank you for your help defeating anti-choice extremists and protecting reproductive rights in Illinois and beyond!
