Reproductive Health and Rights In a Time of Coronavirus

May 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The makers of Birthright:  A War Story are hosting a live panel discussion, Reproductive Health and Rights In a Time of Coronavirus.

With the Supreme Court on the verge of deciding the fate of Roe v. Wade, with opponents of reproductive rights exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic to further deny access to abortion and birth control, and with pregnant women in the U.S. at increased risk of dying, our hour-long discussion about the impact of this global pandemic on reproductive health and rights.

We’re thrilled to be joined by an incredible group of experts and practitioners who are leaders in this space:

Michele Goodwin, author of Policing the Womb: Invisible Women and the Criminalization of Motherhood (2020), Chancellor’s Professor of Law at the University of California, Irvine

Mary Ziegler, Professor at Florida State University College of Law specializing in the legal history of reproduction, the family, sexuality, and the Constitution, author of Abortion and the Law in America: Roe v. Wade to the Present (2020)

Dr. Amy Addante, OB/GYN, Physicians for Reproductive Health Leadership Training Academy
