JANE: An Abortion Service-First Show

April 15 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

This fascinating film takes a political look at a little-known chapter in women’s history. It tells the story of “Jane”, the Chicago-based women’s health group that performed nearly 12,000 safe illegal abortion between 1969 and 1973.

Read all about it at the Chicago Women’s Liberation Union Herstory Project:

And at the film’s website:

And of course read all about it at the New York Times:

The film is playing two nights at Oakton — on the 15th and on the 16th of April.  This is the first of the two showings — in room 1625 on the Des Plaines campus. Free and open to all. Classes welcome. Refreshments served.
