Notes from last night’s meeting (November 13, 2018)

NOTE: We decided not to meet in December. Our next chapter meeting will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Place TBD but we’re hoping to meet at the Indian Trails LIbrary in Wheeling.

Members are contacting libraries about Women’s History month – talking to the programming director and asking if they have anything planned for Women’s History Month. If so, get the details. If not, make some suggestions. Please contact us at nwsubilnow@gmail.com if you need ideas for events or would prefer to have someone else follow up on the initial contact.

Members are also contacting park districts that are hosting “daddy-daughter” dances to assess whether they see any sexism in this.

Oakton Community College had talked about showing “The Hunting Ground” in November and “Jane” in January. Catherine needs to confirm with the contact at Oakton.

“The Hunting Ground” will be shown at the Northbrook Library February 11. Someone from Northwest CASA (Coalition Against Sexual Assault) is speaking.

We’re planning to show “Equal Means Equal” at the Indian Trails Library in March. Need ideas for speaker/facilitator

Also planning to show “She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry” in March at the Northbrook Library. Again, need ideas for a speaker.

Lots going on. And we need your input. Please contact the chapter at nwsubilnow@gmail.com if you have questions, suggestions, volunteer, etc.
